Exit Wound
Exit Wound is a long-term and ongoing portrait of the 'off season', locales, which, at summer's end and beyond, are left near-completely abandoned, in stasis. These range from the uncanny to the serene: secluded locations reverting back to a 'pure' state, once-thriving places unrecognizable once close, a pervading sense of loneliness. These spaces, in their periods of dormancy, still remain with traces of what once occupied them, and thus form a vivid portrait of those who frequented them prior to entering hibernation, left in limbo, alive and dead. What happens to the places we are attached to when we leave them? Will they continue to return year after year, just as we remember them? Is it worth clinging to our nostalgia in spite of it?
